How many times have you heard someone say, "do we really need to bring out internationals when we have so much talent right here in our own backyard?"
We have been hearing this for over a decade now and absolutely feel this way. We have world-class talent right here that deserves to be discovered, heard, seen and experienced. The challenge has been a lack of industry infrastructure and clear pathways to successful careers.
Something we intend to change.
FMIN 2.0 is coming
We are expanding our website to include a central place for the entire music and events industry ecosystem to discover, network and engage each other. The updates will be rolled out over the coming months. Starting with a Talent section in early October, followed by a Knowledge and Marketplace section in November.
Showcasing Australia's best established and rising talent across the entire creative spectrum; visual artists, performance artists, decor artists, photographers, videographers and more. We believe one of the best ways to help promote featured artists is through Youtube mixes. Local producers will submit their tracks to our handpicked DJ's to craft 60 - 90 min mixes. Accompanying these mix's will be a showcase of Australia's best visual artists, event photographers and videographers.
An extensive and essential collection of free educational resources. Whether you want to know how to use your chosen software, want to turn your hobby into a legitimate business or know how to complete an event permit application, everything you need to know to turn your passion or hobby into your full-time career will be here.
This will predominantly be focused on the festival industry supply chain and be the go-to-place to find every possible product or service you require. All service providers will be hand-picked based on their reputation and performance to ensure we are raising professional standards and driving industry best practice.
